© Stevens Amusements 2011 BACK TO TOP Events Co-ordinator, ASDA, CORBY May I take this opportunity in thanking you and all involved for the help you gave me in making this a big and what I think will be a fantastic event for Children In Need 2008. So far we have raised six thousand pounds and the money is still coming in. All the feed back I have had from both customers and managers was fantastic. I have customers saying to me we should have you here permantely.   Sport and Recreation Officer, Corby District Council, CORBY I would whole heartedly support that ‘Stevens FunFair’ in its fifty year history of visiting Corby has been an ambassador for the Showman’s Guild. In all respects a good neighbour, aware of the difficulties both of ground maintenance staff and local residents, the management of the fair have always treated this as a priority. The community appreciates the visit of the Fair especially the free special needs session held for school children. All the Fair people ensure the children are well catered for and get an opportunity to go on rides they would not be able to access during normal public sessions. Chesham Town Clerk & Councillor, Chesham Town Council, CHESHAM I am pleased to say that Stevens Amusements were a pleasure to work with. The fees were paid promptly in advance and all correct paperwork was provided for inspection. During the first week-end, a couple of local residents complained about the level of noise but this was quickly rectified by Mrs Stevens to such a degree that both residents later thanked the Council for a peaceful second week-end. At the end of the fair, the operators departed promptly and left the site in a clean and tidy state. Perhaps most importantly however, the Council actually received compliments rather than complaints in respect of the fair. We received letters and phone-calls congratulating the Council both on the vibrancy and variety of the fair and on the courtesy of the operators themselves. This made a Support Officer, Chelmsford Borough Council, CHELMSFORD I am pleased to confirm that ‘Stevens Fun-Fair’ have visited Central Park, Chelmsford for many years and have always provided a satisfactory funfair. AU fees have always been paid on time and any problem however small has been dealt with promptly. I have never encountered any Health and Safety Issue. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to you. Councillor, Adur District Council, SOUTH WICK I have been asked by several residents to express their thanks to you and your colleagues for this year’s fair. Whilst a few may complain you should be assured that many residents enjoy the ‘traditional’ fair, long may you continue. Marketing and Information Officer, Worthing Leisure, Worthing Borough Council, WORTHING Stevens Fun-Fair have operated annually on the seafront at Worthing for many years and over this period the operation has been most professionally organised and we have had no cause for complaint. Everyone is most co-operative in all ways and the running of the Fair is an extremely disciplined manner, building up and breaking down the rides is done quickly and quietly with the minimum of noise and disruption. The rides and stalls are varied and are extremely popular in Worthing and would have no hesitation in recommending you. Chairman, Rotary Fair Committee, WORTHING Just a note to thank you for all your help and support for the Rotary Fair. We cantruly say that we gave the town an event we can be proud of, and the finances are looking promising too! But it’s only by really professional and committed efforts that an event like this comes together. I’m so pleased that everything and everyone gave their best and made the week- end a real success. Once again, I’d like to say a big Thank You on behalf of the Rotary in Worthing ACKNOWLEDGMENTS Mary Butcher, mayoress of Corby, was talking to me about your funfair and advised me to get in touch. I'm a photographer and author working on a book about Corby as it is now. My images have appeared in art exhibitions internationally for the past ten years. From what I can gather, the fair has become an  integral, essential party of Corby's calender, and I think it is really important to give it a strong and positive profile in the book. I very much hope you think I might be able to contribute positively to your fair in Corby at Spring and during the Highland event.   Mark Neville
